Guille was on Roatan finishing up his PhD in oceanography, and stumbled upon Roatan Divers when his wife, Angie, joined our team as a PADI Instructor. He has over 600 dives under his belt, and thought the PADI Divemaster would be a great way to put his oceanography knowledge to use and to learn more about Angie's world.
Garron just graduated from university and is about to enter the dreaded real world, and he wanted to spend his summer pursuing his diving passion and learning more about diving and about himself.
This dynamic duo got on great from the beginning, and were really supportive of each other. While Garron unfortunately got a little delayed when his ear started giving him problems, he powered through without complaint, and spent all his landlocked time learning more about diving and the industry. Both the guys ended their Divemaster program thoroughly prepared to take on the dive industry, and we can't wait to see where they go next.
To celebrate their achievement, the team took Saga out for a fishing and snorkeling trip, before the boys had their official snorkel test to induct them into the professional world of scuba diving! Coconut Tree Divers was having their Golden Buoy event that night as well, so we dropped everyone off on the beach in style and spent the rest of the evening playing games and hanging out.
Great job, guys, we're so proud of you!
