For those who are just staying for the day on a cruise ship stop, we also have some fun in store for you! For certified divers, we offer fun dives on the barrier reef. For those who have never dived before, but want to experience the island’s world-renowned diving, we offer PADI Discover Scuba Diving.
For certified divers, our three fun dives leave at 09:00AM, 11:30AM, and 02:30PM, which will allow you to get in up to two dives while your ship is docked. Please take into account that one dive, from our dock and back again, will take approximately an hour and a half to two hours.
For those of you interested in trying out diving, we offer the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program, a half day course that introduces you the underwater world while also teaching you about equipment and basic underwater safety skills. For this experience, your PADI Instructor will introduce you to your equipment and give you a thorough briefing about basic diving skills before you go into the water for some underwater skill practice. This is essential to make you more comfortable for your dive. After you have satisfactorily completed the skills, you will go for an open water dive with your PADI Instructor. Your PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience will take about three hours, and will cost $95 with your equipment, skill practice, and open waterdive included.
Roatan is home to two cruise ship terminals – one in the capital town of Coxen Hole, and a Carnival terminal at Mahogany Bay. There will be taxis waiting to transport passengers to West End and West Bay, so it is easy to arrange for your own transportation. However, if you would like, we can also arrange transportation for you to and from the terminal at an additional charge.
Please contact us in advance if you would like to go snorkeling, fun diving or try PADI Discover Scuba Diving while you are on Roatan, and we will assist you in your planning. For a confirmed booking, a deposit is required. Please let us know how many people are in your party, the name of your vessel and cruise line, the date you will be visiting, and whether you will be doing snorkeling, fun diving or Discover Scuba Diving.
Do not miss this opportunity to try some of the world’s greatest diving!
